A Racer’s Testimonial

Pascal on the fastest features of his Pyga Slakline

When word got out that the Aluminium Slakline was coming to Switzerland, Pascal didn’t hesitate to start blowing-up our phones. He took immediate delivery from the first batch to arrive in Zürich. After some time on the bike (coming off of a popular brand of which similar set-up had won multiple EWS stages across the globe and the EWS round in Whistler), here is what he had to proclaim about his new Pyga:

“The Slakline is a beast in many ways. For one, it’s an absolute weapon downhill. It gives you a great position on the bike that provides a very planted and balanced feel to the ride. Clearly, the weight helps a lot here, too. That being said, the Slak is not a fan of the straight-down deathgrip lines. It can do it no problem, but she likes a bit more party. A little pop here, a bit of gap there and it’s all good fun in the end. The rear comes around easily in the corners and I have yet to call for more traction. Once it’s time to pedal back up, the geometry puts you in a comfortable forward position that allows you to put all the necessary powers down. With that weight, you might think that you won’t be hunting many KOMs, but the thing pedals so well that you might as well beast the uphills, too! Overall, the Slakline is a monster truck and hell yeah it is! But it also has a mellower side to it that makes it totally ok as an all day every day kinda bike. But then again, there’s also the Hyrax if you don’t need that much of an oh shit insurance.” Pascal Pensa
